Getting AssistPro to work: download Concept xential

Modified on Fri, 2 Oct at 11:57 AM

Issue

In Xential, it is possible to download a draft document in MS Word whilst filling in the template in Xential|Client.

You can do this by clicking on ‘My Documents’ and then ‘Download draft’.

However, when you open the draft document, the ‘AssistPro’ button in the ribbon is sometimes greyed out.

Solution

You can prevent this by adding the Xential website to your browser’s list of trusted websites.

So add https://[customer name].xential.nl and https://[customer name].test.xential.nl.

You can do this by:

The Windows ‘Trusted Sites’ zone

Chrome on Windows uses the Windows zones. This is particularly relevant when logging in with SSO or Windows authentication (Kerberos/NTLM).

Press Win + R and type inetcpl.cpl.

Go to the Security tab → Trusted sites → Websites.

Add the URL.

In a managed environment, this is often configured via Group Policy. Check [browser]://policy to see if any policies are active, such as AuthServerAllowlist or PopupsAllowedForUrls. You cannot change values set via policy yourself in the browser.
