Mathematical calculation of selection (E)

Use this tool to perform an instant mathematical operation to selected numbers or formulas in Excel. We support performing the various calculations on both the selected cell value as well as formulas, e.g. 50+50, but also for a selected range, meaning that the end user is able to select a range of cells and then calculate all cells in this range.

Parameters

CalculationType

Define the calculation type of the command. The following types are supported:

• Evaluate which will evaluate the mathematic expression in the selection, e.g. 10+5+3*5. The Value parameter is not used for this type and can be omitted.
• Addition which adds the value from the cell/range with the value defined in the next parameter.
• Multiplication which multiply the value from the cell/range with the value defined in next parameter.
• Division which divides the value from the cell/range with the value defined in the next parameter.
• Subtraction which subtracts the value from the cell/range with the value defined in the next parameter.
• Square which will square the value from the cell/range with the value defined in the next parameter.
• Root which performs square root calculations. The Value parameter is not used for this type and can be omitted.
