FileUpdater log files

Modified on Mon, 5 Oct at 1:53 PM

Logs in the form of .txt files are created when installing the FileUpdater client and when using both FileUpdater client -and admin module.

Log for Installation of FileUpdater Client

When installing SDUpdater.msi via install.bat the file log.txt is generated in the same location. Log.txt contains data about the installation of the FileUpdater client.

The last lines is a summary of the installation status. Example:

MSI (s) (8C:48) [10:23:02:011]: Windows Installer installed the product. Product Name: SkabelonDesign FileUpdater Enterprise. Product Version: 1.4.80. Product Language: 1033. Manufacturer: SkabelonDesign. Installation success or error status: 0.

=== Logging stopped: 13-10-2016 10:23:02 ===

This means that the installation is succesful with no errors.

Logs for FileUpdater Admin and FileUpdater Client

FileUpdater Admin and FileUpdater Client generates log files in:

C:\ProgramData\SkabelonDesign\SDUP\Logs.

These logs have semi randomised names such as ebbd6dbc-0eca-46ee-a33e-ec3da07a84cbsdupdater.log. They are updated every time the Admin or Client runs.
