This functionality can set properties from the slide master, enabling us to target the normal style from the slide master and apply it to the selection or where the cursor is placed. This bears a resemblance to the feature that is used to change styles in Word.
The normal style applies the same style formats and fonts as defined by the slide master Default Body slide definition. This basically strip out all bold, italic, underline, colors, bullets, etc. for the text.
